FAQs & Contact
Quick answers to your questions.
Once your referral is received, our team will be busy preparing it, according to what we have available at the time. We only give age appropriate items. Therefore, for example, if a highchair is requested for a newborn baby, a new referral would need to be submitted when the baby is approximately 5 months old.
We aim to have referrals made up and delivered within a week from the date the referral was submitted. However, this can be slightly longer during busy times and holidays. We will call the family on the day we are ready to deliver to check they are at home. If not, the referral will be added to the next delivery to that area. Please ensure phone numbers are correct so we can contact families easily.
At busy times and for rural areas, we may ask for referrals to be collected from KidsBank by the referrer.
Please check our wish list for items we currently need. If an item is not on this list, it means we are currently well stocked. If items are on our wish list, just drop off during our opening times. If it is not on our wish list, please ensure you have checked with us before you come to donate.

At KidsBank we have an amazing team of dedicated volunteers. All volunteers do either one half shift (2.5 hours) or full shift (5 hours) on the same day each week.
If you are interested in volunteering and can commit to a regular shift, please complete the ‘Volunteer Application Form’ here.
You will be added to the waiting list and contacted when a vacancy becomes available.
If your company offers paid volunteering as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility policy or you are part of a team who want to help a good cause, then we’d love to hear from you!
KidsBank are pleased to offer businesses corporate volunteering opportunities.
All year round, KidsBank gather donations of new and pre-loved items of clothing and equipment for vulnerable families. The local community donates the items and our core team of volunteers then perform safety checks and sorts them, so they are readily available to be distributed to families in need.
We often need additional help with these tasks and that’s where a hardworking team of corporate volunteers comes in! You can truly make a huge difference to our ability to respond quickly and cost-effectively to the needs of the families we support.
If you are interested in Corporate Volunteering for teams of between 4-8 people, contact Cathy Pettingale – cathy@kidsbankchester.com
